The shop is normally manned by Husband and Wife team, Jim and Amanda alongside their daughter Katie. They moved to Odiham in 2014 and immediately fell in love with the people and community spirit of the place (not to mention its restaurants and pubs).
Previous to this, having holidayed in Greece as a family for many years Jim and Amanda were lucky enough to buy a house, with olive groves, in the Peloponnese region. They chose the house for its amazing views as it is set on the side of a mountain. They have been bringing their olive oil harvest back for years to share with their family and friends and it was this, along with the encouragement of their daughter that sparked the idea of opening a Deli.
Having spent a year sourcing the foods together with daughter in law Emma, the Deli opened in November 2019, we are extremely proud to share our finds and the stories behind them with our customers. We hope you get as much enjoyment from them as we do.
COVID 19 Update:
During this very strange and worrying time, The Pickled Pepper is lucky to have the support of a couple of our friends and volunteers James and Sue who you may see cycling or walking round the village to deliver our parcels to any one, elderly or isolating.
